Edith Cavell Nurses' Trust

We are keen to let all Nursing Leagues in the United Kingdom know about Cavell Nurses’ Trust so that should any of your members find themselves in difficulty that they know they can contact us in confidence.  Although appreciating that many of the Leagues have their own benevolent funds, sometimes, members do not wish to approach their own fund.  We all know it is often difficult to admit that you are struggling, however, if your members are aware of an independent fund that may be able to assist, perhaps they would seek support.  Moreover, for those who need support with larger items, where additional funding may be required, please  refer individuals onto us so that we can almonise on behalf of the member to achieve sufficient funds to enable those larger items to be purchased, particularly important when aids or adaptations are needed to make life a little easier for those with disabilities or long term conditions.

Please do take a look at our website, where you will find a selection of case studies, where we have supported nurses, midwives, health care assistants – working and retired, and student nurses in crisis.  You will also find details of our recently held Scholarship Awards held at Fishmongers Hall in March.

Should you have any queries, or wish to refer someone to us, please do not hesitate to contact me.

Kind regards
